Title: Todd v Rochester Community Schools
Size: 5" x 7"
Media: Acrylic on gesso board.
Artist: Ann D'Angelo
In Todd v. Rochester Community Schools, a book banning case involving Kurt Vonnegut, the inspiration came from this line from the majority opinion:
"In Redrup, supra, the Court found the paperback books Lust Pool and Shame Agent not to be obscene. We believe that it is ludicrous to consider Slaughterhouse-Five in the same literary niche as Lust Pool and Shame Agent. If the latter are not convicted because of their alleged profanity, then the former should never even stand trial."
